Mayor of Boston upholds his bet

When the Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins got ready to spar during the Stanley Cup Finals last season, everyone knew there was something special about the matchup. Both Original Six teams represent cities with rich history and rich hockey roots, making way for a new rivalry. While fans of Bean Town and the City of Big Shoulders went at it over who would be crowned the better team, the cities’ mayors chimed in by making a bet on behalf of their cities. Part of the wager was that if Chicago won, Boston would post a highlight reel of the Blackhawks’ in their moments of Stanley Cup glory on its website’s homepage.

As part of the deal the city of Boston posted the Stanley Cup celebration on their homepage.
