10. Matthew Nieto: 10/17/13

This week’s top 10 starts out with a rookie Matthew Nieto who displays some impressive speed against the Dallas Stars. He really turns on the jets and burns Star’s defenseman Trevor Daley and riffles a rocket over the shoulder of Dan Ellis.

9. Bryan Bickell: 10/19/13

Bryan Bickell shows some patience while out waiting goalie Jonathan Bernier, pulling him out of position, and tucking it behind him for his first goal of the season.

8. Tyler Bozak: 10/15/13

Some sweet passing from Toronto, especially Dave Bolland who waits for Jared Spurgeon to slide by, ends with a tap-in from Tyler Bozak. It has been a strong start to the season for Toronto and passing like this is the cause.

7. Ryan Callahan: 10/16/13

Unlike Toronto, it hasn’t been a great start to the season for the New York Rangers, but their second win of the season comes against the Washington Capitals thanks in part to Ryan Callahan‘s highlight reel goal. He was able to bat the puck out of mid-air behind Braden Holtby.

6. Zack Smith: 10/17/13

Goal at 1:05 of the video

Erik Karlsson makes the play by drawing in three New Jersey Devils and sliding a pass over to Zack Smith who had a tap-in goal.

5. Nazem Kadri: 10/19/13

Similar to Erik Karlsson making the play-on Zack Smith’s goal, Joffery Lupul made the play on Nazem Kadri‘s goal. Lupul put the puck between his legs to get around Johnny Oduya and dished the puck to a wide open Kadri who pops it in past Corey Crawford.

4. Jonathan Huberdeau: 10/15/13

The sophomore Jonathan Huberdeau isn’t facing the dreaded sophomore slump at all! Against the Nashville Predators he was able to dance his way down the middle and score a beautiful goal.

3. Ryan O’Reilly: 10/19/13

The goal is the first clip in the video

The Colorado Avalanche young stars Ryan O’Reilly and Matt Duchene have really connected causing the Colorado Avalanche to sit atop the Central Division. This goal is an example of the two young stars connecting. Duchene spins off a check and passing between Christian Ehrhoff‘s legs to a streaking Ryan O’Reilly who buries it past Ryan Miller.

2. Seth Jones: 10/19/13

Seth Jones is on a mission to prove the three teams that passed him up in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft wrong. Jones, streaking up the middle, does a toe drag around a sliding Josh Gorges and scores blocker side on Carey Price.

1. Cam Atkinson 10/15/13

A great individual effort by Cam Atkinson. He goes coast to coast, absorbs a shove from behind by Luke Glendening, and gets his own rebound to beat Jimmy Howard on the 2nd chance opportunity.
